The big question

Now that Logan is almost 2, relatives and friends keep asking the big question, when is the next one coming?  While the comments are harmless, it annoys me....quite a bit.  I did not know that 2 was the magic number that gets people asking or wondering. I actually enjoy us being a family of 3 but the truth is I DO WANT another. I would like for them to be close in age. The reality is we CAN'T afford 2 kids in daycare.  Bottom line end of story. So it kind of makes me sad the reason we have to hold off expanding our family is because we are broke. Yes, we both work full time but still don't have enough money.  Even if I quit my job (which I would NEVER want to do) we STILL could not afford to pay our bills.  Yea, we have a lot of bills. Unless one of us gets a huge raise, it ain't happening.  So until 2015 rolls around, please (for the love of GOD) do not ask me when we are having another one.  And also, what if we only wanted 1?  Is there some rule that because you pop out a kid, you have to turn into a baby making machine?  We do want more....3 to be exact.  But things happen.  What if I got pregnant the next time around and we had twins?  How would we pay for 2 kids in daycare?  Or what if I had a special needs child? Would I love the second child the same as the first?  Will we be able to get pregnant as easily as we did with Logan?  All of the things are floating around in my head.  Truth is, I don't know.  And that is ok.  But I think it is silly just because someone has a kid, they need to "get on it" on making more. Or if you have a kid over 30, you are too old.  If my math is correct I will be in my mid-thirties when we have our last one.  I guess my point of this post is sometimes people need to butt out! LOL That was the nicest way I could possibly write it. I would like to have kids spaced out anyways, or until the toddler meltdowns begin to fade away.  If not, Logan just might be the only child :) And that is ok too.
