I will think about it tomorrow.

So I have not been a very good wife lately--I admit it.  I have been stressed out with the wreck and the new house.  I need to slow down a bit and take a deep breath and in the words of Miss Scarlett O'Hara, I will think about it tomorrow.  You see, if you know me (and if you are reading this blog you more than likely do) I am very timely and want to get things done, not slow down.

Work day:
6am-wake up
hair/make up
make bottle
baby changed, fed, HAPPY
make coffee
pack diaper bag
Suki outside and fed
change clothes/brush teeth
pack lunch
out the door to take Logan to school

Work 8 hours, but I love my job!

After work
pick up baby
feed and change baby
play
cook dinner
do dishes
laundry (sometimes)
bathe baby
story time
bottle
bedtime for Logan

After all that all I want to do is take a shower and fall into my bed! My husband reminds that I need to stop sometimes, life should not be about scheduling and lists (oh but I DO love them!!) We need time together too.  Even if it is 30 minutes on the couch watching the news.  Something.  I really want to try and stop trying so hard to get things done and just RELAX! But honestly when I see boxes in our living room and we have been in our house for 2 weeks now, it still makes me cringe, I can't help it!
Bryan is laid back, calms me down and that is why we are so great together---we balance each other out.  So to my hubby I am sorry about nagging about the curtains not being put up, that you forgot the clorox wipe Logan's high chair or that you left the shredded cheese on the counter, or dishes in the sink. I will work on it, I promise.  I have the most perfect little boy and best hubby in the whole world! We just bought a nice house and have all the love in the world between our family and friends. Who needs anything else?!

People I love-Steph

Stephanie and I met in '04 when I was going to Blinn and let me tell you I did not like her at first.  Let me explain why:  My sister and I were living in a ONE bedroom apartment and I got home from work one day and saw a bed and clothes in the corner of our living room.  I was confused.  My sister came home and said oh this is Stephanie she is going to live with us for a while.  I was so mad! I did not even know this girl and she was going to be living with us?! I did not stay mad long.  Stephanie and I just clicked and we became best friends.  She is loud, crazy, speaks her mind and if you don't like it there is the door.  That is what I love about her, we are a lot alike. You either love her or hate her there is no in between.  We have so much fun when we are together, sometimes a little TOO much fun.  We call it "Sharon and Bethanny times".  If you saw us together, this would totally make sense.  It seems like when we are together there are fun times followed by some drama or trouble, oh well that is just us! We were roomies for a while and then she went to A&M and I went up and visited her like every other weekend.
There is one New Years Eve I will never forget:  We were ringing in 2006 and I had a rough year.  It was just me and her and we decided to go to a club in Houston.  One of the best nights ever.  I don't think we stopped dancing the entire night.  I think I even lost a shoe...lol, it was great!
We have been through a lot, but she is always there for me.  She is "Aunty Stephy" to my son and comes and visits us every once in a while.  It means a lot to me that after all these years we are still as close as we are.
There are so many memories: the lake (like every Sunday), Rhonda, old school jams, Northgate, Houston trips, Nelly, credick, scrawberries, river trips (the short bus), kareoke, parking garage (Northgate), throwing shoes, dancing until our legs are jello, Renn-Fest (oooodelaleyyyy), WIC juice, Friday After Next (pimpin, pimpin pimpin, Holy Moly Donut Shop, X-tra medium...the list goes on and on!)

New house and new car!

Yes I have a feeling 2012 is going to be GREAT!

We finally got a new car (after driving a rental for 2 weeks) and I really like it. My old car (even though it was not old, only a 2010!) was a Civic and although I really liked it, it was very hard to get Logan in and out, it was just too small.  So we wanted to look at some small SUVs.  After comparing the Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Mazda CX-7, Nissan Rouge and the Ford Escape, we went with the one that had the best safety ratings, the Toyota Rav4. I have NEVER had a brand new car and I must admit I am liking it! It has been so easy getting Logan in and out of his carseat and it is so much more roomier.  It is a lease so we will have it 3 years, which is perfect because by the time we trade it in, Parks #2 will be in discussion (or maybe even on the way!) so we will trade up for a little something bigger.

Tonya the Toyota!

We did it! We bought a house and let me tell you, it was a long time coming! This house was actually the first one we looked at and we loved it.  It is a little ways out of town (about 8 miles) but it had everything we wanted.  3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, updated kitchen, garage, BIG fenced in yard.  All that it needed is some paint in 2 bedrooms, other than that it was move in ready.  It is a great first home and I am so thankful that we were able to finally OWN something and stop wasting money on rent.  I can't wait to watch Logan grow up in this house.  When baby #2 comes, we might be looking into something larger, but for now it is perfect for us.  Now on the the fun stuff....MOVING! But I will gladly move boxes knowing that this will be the last time we move for a LONG time.  :) Here are some photos from when we went and looked at it, I will be posting some after we move in and change some of the paint colors!

Ringing in 2012!

Happy New Year!
We rang in the New Year with 2 of our favorite people, Ben and Shawna.  We decided that we would have a PJ Party over at our place and make appetizers and play games.  I made some delish pepperoni rolls, mini quesadillas and brownies for dessert.  Shawna and Ben brought some yummy food from Chili's and chips and dips.  We played Scattergories (I found out I am not so good at that game!) and we also found out that Shawna thinks there are salad bar ninjas and Ben loves round cheese.  Yes, you had to be there! Fun times were had by all and I think I even laughed so hard I cried.  Logan was put in bed at his normal time, he was def not going to make it to midnight! We had a champagne toast at midnight and of course a New Years kiss from the hubbs. :) After that, we decided to play Outburst girls vs. boys and the boys showed us up! But we did pretty good, even after 3 re-matches! It was so fun and Bryan wants to make the PJ Party at the Parks' an annual New Year Eve tradition, spending the New Year's in my house with comfy pjs on surrounded by people I love?? Sounds perfect to me! 2011 was by far the BEST year of my life, but bring it on 2012! I have lots of great things to look forward to: My nephew being born, plus tons of new babies in the Parks family (a total of 4 new babies this year!), weddings, travel, but the biggest is my sweet baby boy will celebrate his 1st birthday!!!
