Big boy bathroom

When we re-did Logan's room, OMG so much work, we did not want to re-paint his bathroom.

Yes, this took about a MONTH to complete....I never wanted to paint again!!
The guest bath is a nice olive green color and I figured when the time came to do his bathroom we would make it work.  I planned on the big boy bathroom rennovation this summer when we were really going to hit potty training head on.  Sunday morning after breakfast he pulled down his pants (he has been doing this for weeks) and said potty.  I jumped up and asked him if he wanted to sit on his potty.  He nodded his head and so we went for it.  He has a little potty that was always in the way so we just took it apart and hooked the seat on the big toilet, we aren't even giving him the option of using the little toilet, I would rather just flush and be done than having to clean the little potty.  And it will help him transition when that time comes to the big potty by getting used to it early on.  We let him sit on the big potty a couple of weeks ago and it freaked him out.  So we avoided it for a while.  But Sunday morning he was ready! He sat on the potty like a pro and read his books.  Nothing happened, but it was a start! I was so proud :)

We had to do lots of running around on Sunday so we started off at Target.  Like I said I had no plans to re-do the bathroom....but once I found a really cute ABC shower curtain for $6, I was in full on re-do bathroom mode! Well all we got was the shower curtain, a tumbler, a bath towel and hand towel.  Target discontinued the Circo ABC bath collection so I can't find the matching trash can or bath rug anywhere. But that is ok, we can get some solid color ones and it will still look great.
By the time we got home Logan was tuckered out so we put him down for a nap, and I got started on the bathroom.  Everything turned out really cute.

BEFORE......

AFTER!

Is the owl soap dispenser not the cutest thing?  I got it as a white elephant gift for Christmas!

Logan woke up from his nap and we showed him his new big boy bathroom and he loved it! He kept pointing to all the animals and trying to say them.
Og for frog....wowel for owl..... and duh for duck.
We still are not done with the walls and will be sticking to the ABC theme, will post more pics when we are finished.  It is a good start.  And yes this was our guest bathroom and I had some reservations by making it a "kids theme" bathroom, but all that is out the window when Logan is all excited and wants to be in HIS bathroom.  I am hoping this will lead to lots more potty time!!
