Fun in the sun

Not much to update just been busy chasing after a 15 month old! I swear Logan thinks he can RUN now, which scares mommy to death! We had a pretty laid back weekend.  On Saturday we went to the pool with our good friend Clint and his little girl Makenna.  Logan LOVES bathtime and splash day at school so we thought he would be in heaven at the pool.  Ummm. WRONG.  He clung to me as if his life depended on it for a good 45 minutes.  I think he was just needing to get used to the water and all the other kiddos.  Makenna had a blast going down the froggy slide.  Logan finally warmed up to the water and turned into squirmy wormy and tried to get out of my arms (which made me a little nervous).

Ok, I am going to go on a rant really fast.  There were TONS of kids in the pool and not many parents in or even close to the pool.  Lots of those kids probably could not swim.  I saw a little boy not much older than Logan by HIMSELF in the water.  The water was almost at his chin.  This makes me really angry and I am sure lifeguards are there that will appreciate this.  Lifeguards are not babysitters! Your kids still need to be watched by YOU, the PARENT! Ugh, I helped a little girl about 2 years old, she went under and came up choking and her parents not in sight.  I know how quickly a child can drown, in an instant.  My husband thinks I am a wack-a-doo and too over-protective, but I do not care.  Can I just wrap my child in a bubble his whole life...or is that going too far?!

Ok rant is over.

After swimming for almost 2 hours Logan was in his car seat for about 2.5 seconds and he was fast asleep.  We decided to go to JJ's and get a snocone.  They are only like the best snocones...ever.  Bryan got Cherries Jubilee and I got Rock Candy...so yummy.  Logan woke up when we were driving home so I fed him some of Bryan's and he liked it alot!

That night I had a work banquet and it was great to see all of the hard work that our Aggie Orientation Leaders do throughout the year.  I even got a $50 gift card from the Co-Directors to Best Buy! So guess what we did on Sunday?  Yep, went and loaded up on some new movies for Logan of course! We found some really good deals and ended up with 6 DVDs.  We put in Ice Age last night and Logan just keep laughing when the sloth came on.  He usually doesn't watch TV, he never sits still long enough, but he was intrigued.
He was being a little ham in the tub!

It is a short week for me, I will be leaving Friday to head to the Guadalupe River for my best friend's bachelorette party! I am going to have lots of fun with the girls, but this also means I will be away from my Boo Boo for 2 WHOLE NIGHTS.  Longest I have ever been away from him.  :( I will try to keep it together, there is another mom that is going so I am sure we can talk "kiddos" since most of my friends don't have babies yet!
