New house and new car!

Yes I have a feeling 2012 is going to be GREAT!

We finally got a new car (after driving a rental for 2 weeks) and I really like it. My old car (even though it was not old, only a 2010!) was a Civic and although I really liked it, it was very hard to get Logan in and out, it was just too small.  So we wanted to look at some small SUVs.  After comparing the Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Mazda CX-7, Nissan Rouge and the Ford Escape, we went with the one that had the best safety ratings, the Toyota Rav4. I have NEVER had a brand new car and I must admit I am liking it! It has been so easy getting Logan in and out of his carseat and it is so much more roomier.  It is a lease so we will have it 3 years, which is perfect because by the time we trade it in, Parks #2 will be in discussion (or maybe even on the way!) so we will trade up for a little something bigger.

Tonya the Toyota!

We did it! We bought a house and let me tell you, it was a long time coming! This house was actually the first one we looked at and we loved it.  It is a little ways out of town (about 8 miles) but it had everything we wanted.  3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, updated kitchen, garage, BIG fenced in yard.  All that it needed is some paint in 2 bedrooms, other than that it was move in ready.  It is a great first home and I am so thankful that we were able to finally OWN something and stop wasting money on rent.  I can't wait to watch Logan grow up in this house.  When baby #2 comes, we might be looking into something larger, but for now it is perfect for us.  Now on the the fun stuff....MOVING! But I will gladly move boxes knowing that this will be the last time we move for a LONG time.  :) Here are some photos from when we went and looked at it, I will be posting some after we move in and change some of the paint colors!
