This past weekend we went to my best friends wedding in the beautiful hill county of Wimberly, TX. Rolling hills, beautiful weather, it was perfect.
Me and this guy have been best friends since I was 15, so yea, a long time!
I am so blessed to have such a great friend in my life for so long, love ya Mark!
We got there and had the whole day to do something so we decided to go check out the Blue Hole. It was a swimming hole, so we thought (I have no idea why) the water would be great for swimming. WRONG! FREEZING!! Like the coldest water I have ever been in! But we had a fun day!
After that, it was on to eat some really good BBQ in the small town of Blanco. Then we all headed back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding!
It was a blast! They had a beautiful ceremony outside (while peacocks were just hanging out). And then after the 10 minute ceremony, we headed up the road to the barn, and by barn, I mean a beautiful restored barn with huge bay doors and twinkle lights everywhere, for the reception. They even had a huge fire pit with a s'more making station. Um yes please. It was a night full of laughing and dancing with friends. Friends that I cherish dearly and do not get to see often. But when we all get together, it just makes sense! Or everyone thinks we are crazy, but that is ok. It was a great wedding and I am so happy I was able to be a part of their special day.
We left the hotel on Sunday and I could not wait to get to my parents house to hug my boy. We had never been away from him for 2 nights, so needless to say, I was anxious to get to him. He had a great time with Grams and Paw Paw. Then we headed home to recover from a long, but fun weekend!
