The morning of the 21st, we did our little family of 3 Christmas. I woke up early and went and picked up donuts and Logan opened a few presents from us. He was really excited about his drill set. He has worn the battery out already!
We left for Houston later that afternoon to have my family Christmas. It was great and Logan got lots of fun stuff. Then we headed to my sister's house to stay the night. Logan was out for the count, he had so much fun playing with Hayden, he was wiped out!
The next day we had breakfast and let the kids play with their toys. We left for Laredo (very strategically) around Logan's nap time and he was asleep for about 2.5 hours. We stopped at Buc-ee's like we always do (it is the halfway point) and let Logan get out and stretch. On a side note, how great would it be for Buc-ee's to have an indoor playground?! Let kids get out and run around and play for a while, I happen to think it is a genius idea, I need to find out who can make that happen.
We got to Laredo that evening and Logan got to play with his cousin Wyatt and was looking forward to it, he kept telling us how he wanted to play with Wyatt. They play really good together.

Christmas 2013. yes we are going to squeeze them on that little couch every year! They have grown so much and Wyatt now has hair, but the same look! |

Christmas morning went a little different than I expected. Months ago, Logan found Bryan's Rockband guitar and would not let it out of his sight. I knew right then, what his Santa gift would be...a guitar! Well Christmas morning came and we let him wake up and walk into the living room but to my surprise he could care less for the guitar. I wanted to cry....I think I may have. I just wanted him to be super excited and he wasn't. He also is not a morning person either. Oh well, he got into later and said he liked it. Christmas day was a little crazy with 6 little ones and the presents took up half the living room! Logan got a monster truck with a racetrack, books, clothes, a firetruck book, puzzles, a tool set, the list goes on. Let's just say we put some of the toys in the guest bedroom for him later.
We need a bigger house! We had a great time and the week went by really fast and before we knew it, we were heading home.
Then it was New Years! Last NYE, we were at my parent's house and just got in from Laredo. We were so tired we did not even make it to midnight....lame! I told Bryan this year, we were doing something! One of my best friend's was hosting a family friendly NYE party at their house in Tomball. We packed up yet again and headed to their house. Glowsticks, balloon drop, a dance party, fireworks, food and friends! Who could ask for more?! The kids had a blast. Most of the kids that were there were a little older in like the 5-8 age range so Logan could not really play with them too much (they were pretty rough, hyped up on candy and capri sun) but Logan is an independent little person so he played with his trucks until his friend Jackson got there and he is 18 months so they got to play for a little while. Logan was pretty excited about the balloon drop (not so excited when all the kids started popping them) and doing the sparklers (not so excited about the big fireworks that were going off ALL night). He has some pretty sensitive ears. My friend lives outside the city limits and her neighborhood does it up big and at midnight it pretty much sounded like we were at war. Logan was REALLY hard to put down that night with all the noise, but Bryan eventually got him to sleep and the adults stayed up a little while longer. It was a great night surrounded by dear friends!

This one might be my favorite, Logan did NOT want to take a picture, surprise surprise. |
With all that, I can honestly say I am looking forward to doing NOTHING (oh yea except taking down my tree, it is coming down!) this weekend!!
