Holly Jolly Christmas...better late than never!

So I am a little behind on blogging about our Christmas festivities, oh well better late than never! I need a week (or maybe 2) to recover from spending 10 days in Laredo with Bryan's family.  I love them all, but that amount of time with anyone is just too long! Logan was out of his routine and I was ready to get back into mine.

How cute is this little Rudolph craft that Logan made at school?!

My family Christmas:
We always do this the weekend before Christmas, so we can spend real Christmas with our spouses.
We went to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Houston, so the night before we went and stay the night with my sister so I can spend some quality time with my nephews.  One of my best friend lives right across the street so I got to walk over and meet their new little bundle of joy, Miss Savannah!
Every time I hold a small baby I get that....awwww Logan was this small....I want another one, then I turn around a see Logan with a dog toy in his mouth and trying to play in the toilet and I very quickly re-think that idea.  She is so sweet though!

We headed to Houston and it was a great night of laughs, food and drinks and family.  My family is not very close and we only get together on Christmas (lame, I know) but it is what it is.  We stay connected through Facebook.  Logan got lots of toys, puzzles and clothes.  He even got a little shopping cart from my sister and brother-in-law (they both work at HEB) and he loves that thing!
This Christmas Logan was obsessed with Santa....not seeing him in person.......but just seeing Santa decorations everywhere! He would exclaim, "Anta! Anta!" and point everywhere he saw a Santa decoration at my aunt's house.  He was SO excited! We had a great time and Logan even stayed up well past midnight for karaoke!

He was pretty mad about those antlers on his head!

Our family Christmas:
Since we were going to be in Laredo for Christmas day, we decided the night before we left to have our little Christmas at our house and give Logan a few things.  He got a play camera, some DVD's, a back-pack, a bubble mower, and a really cool play tent that looks like a school bus.  We could not get him much this year, but I started getting things here and there starting in summer.  He LOVES his tent! It is kind of big and we fit it in his room but it is pretty crowded in there, so we did some re-arranging and everything fits.  It is also great because we can house lots of his toys in there too so they are not all over the place.  I loved our little family Christmas, it was perfect!

Ok, he looks like a big kid here.  :(
Bryan's family Christmas:
We had to drop Suki off with my parents, so we headed to Brenham Friday night.  My parents had a big gift for Logan to open up there.  We spent the night making s'mores on the front patio.  Logan was more interested in holding on to his marshmallow than making a s'mores.  We went inside (it was pretty cold) and Logan opened up his gift, a Harley trike! Of course Bryan was so excited too! It is really cute but he can't reach the pedals yet, probably by this summer.

We left on Saturday morning for the long track down to South Texas.  Logan did pretty good and napped on and off most of the way.  Which we were grateful for!

We were staying with Bryan's cousin and they have a little boy that is 364 days younger than Logan!  (Logan was born 4/4/11 and Wyatt was born 4/3/12) So they played together, well kind of, but Wyatt was still too small to really play with and Logan just wanted to take all his toys.  Sigh.  I think they will be great buddies next year!
I cannot wait to see the picture of these 2 next Christmas!

Pushing his cousin around, this did not last long, Logan pushed him WAY too fast!
Giving Wyatt kisses, he was not so sure about it.

We spent Christmas morning with his family, I mean ALL his family.  There was probably like 30 people! Logan of course got tons of toys, clothes, books...man that little boy has it made! And we are going to need a bigger house! There are toys STILL out because we do not know where to put them.  Our guest room has suddenly become Logan's toys-that-don't-fit-in-his-room room! Oh well.  We never have guests anyways! We stayed there for 10 days......yes I said 10 days.  Oh man was I ready to come back home after like 3 days.  But we did enjoy the time with his family and all the little ones this Christmas!

Are those ALL for me??

Just hanging out with Great Granddaddy

Doing my hair with Great Grandmother...this pic cracks me up!

Bryan and Logan with cousin Chris and his little one Kelsey and cousin Matt and his little boy Wyatt.
It seemed like Logan was more out of sorts there than normal.  He ate pretty good and slept great (we have never had a problem in that department!) but he was kind of a terror after he woke up from his afternoon nap.  Like I might pull my hair out and scream types of days.  Man, $600 a month for daycare was totally justifiable at that point.  Bryan would went to the shooting range a few days and I was all alone with Logan (which I love, I really do) but he was out of his element, new place, not his toys and he does NOT listen to me.  So I might have told Bryan on that Friday night, he is yours I am going out with my girlfriends! And Bryan was totally fine with that.  So I got a girls night and it was a blast! I have not hung out with those ladies in a LOOOOONG time.

Good times! This mama needed it!
Before I knew it, it was New Years Day and we were headed home.  We planned to leave Laredo by noon.  Yea right, after we said our goodbyes to everyone (and that meant stopping by 4 houses!) it was almost 3 when we left.  We really wanted to have a nice quiet New Years Eve at home but we got to my parents house it was almost 9, foggy and rainy.  Nope, no way are we going home, even though it is only 45 minutes from my parents house to our house.  We put Logan to bed, changed into our jammies, drank some hot chocolate and we were in bed by 11.  Yes, this was the first NYE that I can remember that I did not make it to midnight.  Meh.  We were exhausted and it is just another year!
We finally made it back home New Years Day.

Ringing in the NYE 2013 with hot chocolate and jammies! We are wild and crazy! haha.
The day was full of grocery shopping, unpacking, laundry and trying to get back into the groove.  It was a wonderful holiday with family and friends and I am so glad we were surrounded with the ones that we love!
